Winged Wildlife features precise, artful depictions of butterflies, moths, and damselflies. These RHS Decoupage Paper illustrations were taken from a late 18th century publication of Chinese and European gardens' "most beautiful and curious" flowers and animals. Ivory-colored prints on Graphite Chalk Paint™ and Wall Paint add to their attractiveness. Pierre Joseph Buchoz (1731-1807), a French medical doctor and botanist, wrote the book from which these images were taken: "Collection precieuse et enluminée des fleurs les plus belles et les plus curieuses, qui se cultivent tant dans les jardins de la Chine, que dans ceux de l’Europe." While the illustrators are unknown, Buchoz's work highlights their intricate artistry.
